Don't Just Sit on the Couch Watching Fishing on TV, Get Out on the Lake With Me and See How It's Done
A guided fishing trip with me is more than just a day of fishing, it's a chance to learn "on the water" the tips, techniques, and seasonal patterns that will help you catch more fish long after the trip is over.
I prefer to guide for black bass, but I also do guide trips for white bass and crappie. I also chase musky on Pomme de Terre in the fall.
Guided fishing trips with me are for individuals at all skill levels. I specialize in family oriented fishing trips, and I truly enjoy taking parents and children fishing. My rates are "family friendly" too!
If you're just getting into fishing or are new to these lakes, then why not shorten your learning curve? In the end a trip with me will actually save you time and money, and will make future fishing trips more productive and enjoyable.
I had the opportunity to fish for 5 days with Bob Mehsikomer from Simply Fishing to help film a musky fishing video. I have written some articles for Simply Fishing Magazine, and my good friend Kjelle Lundberg and I are working with Simply Fishing to help promote the Lundberg Stalker musky lure. In the August/September 2008 issue of Simply Fishing Magazine (
http://www.simplyfishingmagazine.com/pages/augustseptember-2008-issue.php on page 41) Bob wrote the following. Thanks Bob for the kind words!
"Being guided is not about catching fish or lots of them. It is your opportunity to learn. There are a lot of unanswered questions in fishing and a "QUALITY" guide can shed some light on them. Learning why, when and how should be your primary objective, never WHERE. The where in fishing is dependent on far too many factors that will change many times during a season or a day for that matter. Your guide should teach and you should learn. I have fished with Larry in the past and can assure that IF you take an interest in asking the questions during your day or days on the water with him, you will come away a better angler. Regardless of the target species. Pro Fisherman Bob Mehsikomer"

Smithville Lake is my "home lake" since I live only 20 minutes from the boat ramp in Gladstone. With the high fuel prices it's much cheaper for me to fish at Smithville than at any other lake. Given that, I have updated my guide fees to include "Smithville friendly" rates. Click on the Smithville Lake picture to view 1/2 day, full day, and evening fishing rates.
I'm also selling some great looking hand made musky lures from Kjelle Lundberg in Sweden. Check out the "Fishing Stuff for Sale" link on my website, or see
http://lundbergcustombaits.com/default.aspx to buy them online. I caught quite a few musky on them at Pomme and LOTW in 2007, and I still have several available for sale.
I'm on the lake from 3 to 5 days a week from March 1st through October 31st. Contact me to book a trip, or just to see what's hitting on your favorite lake.
